This weekend, sees the return of the Suttonians stars of the future. MY Suttonians is the incubator for our young talent that is being developed in our underage systems. MY Suttonians has two separate sections. The first division is the Mini’s section for children aged between 5 and 12 years old. Our second section is our Youths section for players aged between 13 and 18 years old. MY Suttonians is an extremely important component of Suttonians RFC as it is providing the foundations for our future success. The commitment and dedication by all the parents, players, volunteers and supporters is crucial to its success. 

Our Mini’s section has acted as a home to many talented rugby players over the years, such as Ian Keatley and Jack Aungier, who have gone on to represent Suttonians RFC on the provincial and international stages. The Mini’s section of MY Suttonians is coordinated by Aidan Kearney and Lynda Carroll, who both provide the highest level of support for all players, parents and volunteers each year. The Suttonians Mini’s return this Sunday, 4th of September for the 2022/23 season. This section of Suttonians RFC is all inclusive and welcomes any child who would like to try their hand at rugby. The Mini’s training sessions will commence at 10am on Sunday mornings each week. The young players will learn the basics of rugby whilst developing broader skills that are applicable to any sport. Just as important as our Mini’s section is our Youths section. Our Suttonians Youths section is coordinated by Ian Burke and Lynda Carroll. Our Youth teams will return to Station Road this Friday the 2nd of September and this Sunday, the 4th of September to begin their 2022/23 season. Our youth teams have acted as a home to many talented rugby players over the years, who may be looking to develop their rugby skills outside of school. They have also provided an excellent resource for players who don’t attend a secondary school that has a high focus on rugby. Similar to our Mini’s section of MY Suttonians our Youths section is all inclusive and always welcomes new players, with or without experience. Throughout the season Suttonians Youths will train on a Friday evening between 7:00pm and 8:30pm and on a Sunday morning from 11:00am onwards.
