This weekend marks a special occasion for Suttonians RFC as 1st XV player Josh Oakley celebrates his 50th senior appearance for the club, joining a select group of players to have reached this significant milestone.

Josh joined Suttonians ahead of the 2023/24 season and has since established himself as a key member of our senior squad. Over the past three seasons, he has become a consistent and valued presence in the Senior Mens Squad, playing an important role in the team’s development and success.

During his time at Station Road, Josh has been part of some memorable moments, including our Metropolitan Cup and Spencer Cup triumphs.

Josh becomes just the seventh member of our current senior men's squad to reach the 50-cap milestone, highlighting the significance of his achievement and the commitment he has shown to Suttonians since joining the club.

Originally from Wales, Josh has made Sutton and the surrounding community his home, now living and working locally.

Since joining Suttonians, Josh has become an important part of the club both on and off the pitch. His family have also embraced life at Station Road, becoming familiar and valued members of the wider Suttonians community.

It is this connection that makes milestones like these particularly special. Suttonians is more than just a place to play rugby, and Josh’s journey is a great example of how players and their families become part of the fabric of our club.

On behalf of everyone at Suttonians RFC, we would like to congratulate Josh on reaching 50 senior caps and thank him for his commitment and contribution to the club since joining in 2023.

We also extend our congratulations to Josh’s family, who have been part of his journey at Station Road.

We wish Josh and his teammates the very best of luck this weekend as he marks this fantastic achievement.

Here’s to many more appearances!
