Suttonians RFC face a quick turnaround this week as our Senior Men’s First XV return to action in the Spencer Cup Semi-Final against Seapoint RFC tomorrow evening, Wednesday 26th August.

Supporters should note an important change to the date, kick-off time and venue for the fixture. The semi-final was originally scheduled to take place at Seapoint RFC at 3pm on Saturday but will now be played at Wanderers RFC, Merrion Road, with an 8pm kick-off on Wednesday night.

Wednesday's semi-final comes just four days after Suttonians were in action against Athy RFC in the Colm O’Shea Cup Final on Saturday.

It makes for a demanding start to the season for the squad, with little recovery time between two important cup fixtures. Attention has quickly shifted from Saturday's contest to Wednesday night, with a place in the Spencer Cup Final now on the line.

The short turnaround will test the depth and preparation of the squad, but it also provides another valuable competitive fixture as Suttonians continue preparations for the season ahead.
