This Saturday, Brian Digan is set to make his 100th Senior Appearance for the club. An absolutely phenomenal achievement from one of the most loyal servants to put on a Suttonians jersey.
Brian made his debut in 2014, and has since amassed 100 games in an impressively short time. Taking on the captaincy at just 21 years of age, Brian was a cornerstone of many successful Suttonians seasons, and in latter years has become a role model for the younger players coming through the squad. His versatility, incredible work ethic, and dedication to his club are rare qualities that make Digo indispensable to the Suttonians senior squad. Congratulations Brian on such an incredible achievement, and we’re looking forward to seeing the next 100 appearances unfold.
“Wishing Brian ‘Digo’ Digan all the best on his 100th appearance in green, white and blue. Since he burst onto the scene in the 2014/15 season, Brian has been a constant on the senior team, epitomising all that is great about Suttonians both on and off the pitch. He continues to set the standard and his performances this season confirm there are many more appearances yet to come. Congratulations Brian. Agus Fag an Bealac”
Barry O’Brien. President 2023/24
“Brian’s commitment to the club is something we should take note of. He’s soldiered on when many others would have left to seek an easier path. He’s the first to put himself in harms way and always puts his best foot forward week after week. He took the captaincy at a young age and did a great job in keeping the club afloat in Leinster 1B. I’ve a lot of respect for Brian and I look forward to seeing him add more caps over the coming years.”
