For our first ‘Team in Focus’ for the season, we take a look at our brilliant U17’s age group. The oldest team in our Youth’s section, the U17’s have had tremendous success over the past number of years. With a strong link with St Fintan’s High School, as well as players from Belvedere College, St Michaels, St Paul’s, Portmarnock and many other schools, the U17’s represents the wider Suttonians community in a comprehensive way.

Having won the U16 Leinster School and Youth Cup last year, the U17’s look set to have another fantastic campaign, culminating in a second consecutive tour to the Lisbon Youth Rugby Festival at the end of the season.

Individual success is also present in the squad, with 4 players selected to represent Leinster U17’s over the summer, as well as numerous features on Senior Cup panels.

The U17’s start their season with a friendly this weekend away against MU Barnhall, before the Cup campaign begins in October.
